  Women's show shirts

  While preparing to competitions, you should purchase a show jacket, white breeches, show shirt and the whole should look good and elegant. The show shirt should be well-fitted, but not too tight so it would not restrict your movements and would nicely glove you.

  While choosing a show shirt you should consider where the competition will take place, what the conditions will be and if a shirt with short sleeve would be sufficient or if you should buy a long-sleeved one. Maybe you will need a more technical model in terms of material, or maybe with quick-dry, moisture-draining inserts...   Ladies' show jackets just as men's show jackets are always very elegant, their cut and colour are strictly defined by the equestrian associations and international regulations.

  Long or short show jacket?

  If you take part in jumping competitions then go for a short jacket, but if you go for a dressage arena, you are free to choose between a long jacket or a short dressage jacket. Regardless of the jacket's length, it has to glove you. It cannot trail behind you, pucker, and beside its aesthetics it cannot squeeze you anywhere. Ladies' jackets can be either decorated or very classic.

  Woolen or technical jacket?             

  Classic show jackets are made of wool, they are nice to touch, they look nice on the body and are exceptionally elegant. New models of show jackets are made of innovative technical materials. These jackets are easier in maintenance and usually have breathable inserts. Modern technologies and materials are used in jackets production by French company HORSE PILOT.

  How to measure a show jacket?

  A show jacket, just like a men's suit or ladies' ball gown requires a few fittings. A show jacket should be measured on a show shirt and in order to fully visualise the show outfit you should also be wearing a pair of white breeches. During the fitting it is good to place your arms as if you were riding in order to see how the sleeves will fit (if they are not too short) and check how the jacket acts during your shoulder movements e.g. during jumping.
